About the Department


The Faculty of Commerce & Management is one of the two founding verticals of the university (the other being Faculty of Arts and Social Studies), which started its journey in July 2017. Notwithstanding its humble beginning, it is one of the most rapidly growing units of the university.

The faculty boasts of a galaxy of qualified faculty members hailing from eclectic backgrounds and specialization areas, including Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Economics, Information Technology, Law, and Mathematics to name a few.

The students of the faculty, nonetheless, have shown their mettle in terms of both academic as well as extra and co-curricular achievements. Their unending zeal and aspirations have immensely contributed to the vibrance and eminence of the faculty. A good number of students undergoing different programmes are pursuing various professional courses including CA, CMA, CS, CFA, FRM, etc. to name a few, and have made significant strides in their growth path. The faculty basks in the glory of the ability of its students to strike a balance between their academics and extramural triumphs such as bringing laurels from participation in various fests within the city and beyond. The faculty nurtures students who are deeply rooted in the values of outreach and welfare, which is manifested in their participation in various pro-bono social activities organized by the university.

The faculty takes a proactive stance in bridging the gap between classroom and corporates through a regular conduct of a series of invited lectures on topics of strategic interest, industry-academia conclaves, and various other initiatives meant to craft a congregation of learners and field-practitioners and stirring dialogues between them.

In keeping with the university ideals of making "men and women for others," the faculty has a firm commitment towards churning talents with an entrepreneurial drive, a quest for knowledge, and most importantly - socially responsible citizens.
